As labor day approaches, we see the coming of the last day to swim in public swimming pools, the first day of the Renaissance Fairre (Huzzah!), and finally (one can hope) some decent weather here in the Midwest (read: not 100+ degrees with 90+% humidity).
As for me, I’ll be riding some hard miles Saturday. Not as part of a group or on an especially tough route, but I’ll be riding the not-so-rough route pretty hard. I’ve only got 10 and a half months to train, after all, until the Triple Bypass. After that will be a trip to the Farmer’s Market in Lawrence, and whatever else the day may bring. I’m sure it’ll involve some sort of food, drink and merriment.
Sunday will be much more of the same. Another ride, perhaps, and then definitely some pool time with friends, involving (yet again) food, drink and merriment.
Monday is recovery.
See you next week, and have a fantastic Labor Day Weekend!
