Dave’s Good Stuff

My hands are sore. My shoulders ache. My lower back aches. My neck is sore. Dad and I painted the interior of his workshop this weekend… or at least, a good portion of it. There are two 24′X32′ rooms, a workshop expansion and a garage, with 10′ and 10.5′ ceilings respectively. Dad did the cutting in, and I rolled. We got the one room completely done, cuts, walls and ceiling, and the other mostly done. I’ll be heading back again this coming weekend to finish that. What remains is any touch-up, and the walls of the garage. I’ve done plenty of painting, and expected to get done with these two rooms, but while there aren’t any complex surfaces to deal with, there are a lot of wide open areas, and those just take time.

Hard work, but I feel good about it. With everything my parents have done for my brother and I, it’s the very least we can do to help out when we can.
