The first inspection on the house came today… earlier this morning, to be exact. It went about as I’d thought it would, but not as I’d hoped. I’d hoped that it would come up completely clean and w/o issue. There are, however, some issues that, while not show stoppers, either individually or separately, are cause for some concern. I won’t go into details, however, as I’m not entirely clear on the laws regarding disclosure and whatnot. I’ll err on the side of caution. Suffice to say that my agent is a star, and I’ve all the confidence in the world that she’ll pull something absolutely phenomenal together for me.

In the meantime, I’m collecting boxes from work to pack my crap up in. Right now I’m focusing on books, and will move to CD’s, DVD’s and knick-knacks after that. When all that is done, and most of it actually moved over, I’ll get a move date, rent a truck and with the help of friends, pack up what furniture I’m taking with me… which is a pretty good amount, though certainly not all of it.

This whole thing is kinda funny when you think that a few months ago, I was debating on whether to spend a couple grand on a new laptop…

In other news, Cinco de Mayo is tomorrow, so don’t expect to hear much out of me, at least for the next few days (not that it would be odd, now that I think about it).
